Our approach to this venture was to immerge the modern traveler in the Art Deco spirit while remaining authentic and sensitive to our times.

Located in the heart of the Art Deco District in South Beach, it was important to offer a one-of-a-kind experience in the middle of a high traffic environment, an intimate and simple retreat.

We intentionally kept our use of materials and textures for this boutique hotel as simple as possible. Oak wood floors, green colored walls and paneling while the pink signage reminds us of the light and decadent way of life of the 1920s.

The design of low paneling brings in the Art Deco flare and rhythms the passage without overpowering the existing long and narrow corridors.

Inside the regular rooms, a series of hooks made out of Oak dress up the length of the wall to ease a quick change of clothes and hang all accessories needed throughout the stay.

For the two large suites, we selected original pieces from the Mid-Century period and mixed these with new complementary elements such as the lounge chaise next to the beautiful Danish ceramic and Maria Kipp lampshade.

The existing nooks in the suites presented a remarkable invitation to create an intimate space for working, writing and recount the discoveries of the day.
